Hourly Rate
Our standard fee is £7.52 per hour.

 

Meals
We provide a freshly prepared lunch each day for £2.50 per day. All meals are cooked on-site and follow recognised early years nutritional guidelines, ensuring children enjoy healthy, balanced food that supports their growth and development.

Funding & Support
We accept a range of childcare support options, including government grant funding and Tax-Free Childcare. We aim to offer funding in a flexible way wherever possible, helping to support working parents and accommodate different schedules.

Minimum Sessions
We ask for a minimum booking of 5 hours per week to secure your child’s place.

Consumables Fees

At Sunbeams Day Nursery, we charge a small consumables fee to cover the cost of everyday items that support your child’s care, comfort, and learning experience. These are things not covered by government funding but used regularly to ensure high-quality provision for all children.

Examples of what our consumables include:

• Breakfast

• Snacks and drinks provided throughout the day

• Resources for special activities such as cooking and gardening

• Sun cream (seasonal) and other shared care items

• Extra activities such as outings and visits

• Special events and celebrations such as, Easter, Christmas, Leavers party

 

These costs ensure that children have consistent access to high-quality resources and experiences, without the need for families to provide individual supplies.

 

Cost and Payment

The consumables fee is £5 per day / £3 for 4 hours and under.
This helps us maintain our standards and provide enriching, hands-on learning opportunities for every child.

Opting Out

We understand that some families may prefer not to pay the consumables fee.
If your child is funded and you wish to opt out—please contact the management team to discuss this.
If you choose to opt out, we ask that you provide the necessary consumable items yourself as listed above.
