Sunbeams Day Nursery are taking part in the Big Brush Scheme, a fun and supportive programme designed to help young children learn how to take care of their teeth.
As part of the scheme, the children will take part in daily, supervised toothbrushing sessions while at nursery. Each child will be given their own toothbrush and a small amount of fluoride toothpaste. Staff will support the children as they brush their teeth for about two minutes each day, helping them learn the right way to brush and build healthy routines. All equipment will be stored and cleaned safely, following NHS guidelines.

Sunbeams Day Nursery has renewed our annual Sun Safe Nurseries accreditation which demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the health and wellbeing of your child(ren) during pre-school hours. The scheme has been developed by national skin cancer charity 'Skcin', to assist nurseries and pre-school settings in implementing a successful Sun Safety Policy whilst educating children to increase knowledge, influence behaviour and prevent skin cancer.
